A warm welcome to the Axe Beacon Federation website

We are a federation of four vibrant, forward thinking primary schools located within 7 miles of each other in the beautiful Axe Valley in East Devon. All of our schools are an integral part of their local communities and have a real sense of identity. We value the contribution each of our communities make and the diversity and distinctive opportunities  that they bring to the federation. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, caring, family environment within which children can flourish.

We are ambitious for our children and staff, seeking to transform our approaches to learning to secure the best possible outcomes for every child within a safe and supportive environment for all. Our aspiration is that all children leave our schools with a love of learning and the skills, knowledge and confidence to take on all future challenges. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is expected, but through supporting the development of the whole child we encourage them to excel both academically and as individuals.

We work in true partnership as a group of schools; offering our children the best learning environments; the best teachers and the best support to enable every one of them to reach their potential. We challenge ourselves and each other to be the best we can be – improving practice, building relationships, sharing practice and resources and ensuring that all of our children benefit from the strength that being part of the Axe Beacon Federation brings. In working together, as a federation and in partnership with our communities, our aspirations are becoming a reality.

This website will give you a good insight into what we are about and into what we have already achieved together. But don’t take our word for it, our children are our best ambassadors so come and meet them. They would be delighted to tell you about their schools.
